Sherlock Homes? House History Workshop
Fri 25 Nov 2016, 2 – 4 pm, FREE
Have you ever wondered how old your house is? What it was originally like? Who built it and who has lived there through the years? If so, this workshop is for you. Staff at Stirling Council Archives are running an in-depth session on how to research the history of your house (or any other building) as part of Stirling’s Book Week Scotland and the UK wide Explore Your Archive campaign.
Using original records, the Archivists will show you in detail how to get on the house history trail and you will get the chance to handle and view architects’ drawings of local buildings and see other records that help build up a picture of the history of our built environment.
The workshop will be held at the Council Archives, 5 Borrowmeadow Road, Springkerse Estate, Stirling, FK7 7UW.
Booking is essential as places are limited.
