This photograph shows St Ninians Public School football team c. 1929. It is part of the Willie Jenkins collection (PD160) held here at Stirling Archives and is our next feature for the Year of Young People.
Willie has provided some notes about photograph bringing additional context to the image.
The man on the right hand side of the photograph is Archibald Menzies. He was appointed headmaster of the school on 17 Apr 1928. The school log books show that he remained as headmaster until 1937.
The trainer pictured on the left hand side is Jimmy Bryan. Willie also noted that the only player of football team he was able to identify was Joe France, who is pictured second left on the back row.
