Viola Stirling’s Nature Diary: 1922-1928

A very short diary entry finds Viola cover six years in three sentences! From the period of 1922-1928 Viola does not keep a regular update of her diary. She herself notes that from 1922-1925 there has been ‘little to summarise’.

We are unsure of specific dates but we can probably guess that Viola is at University at this point in her life. Viola studied history at Lady Margaret College, Oxford and you can read more about her life by clicking here.

She does, however, make a small reference of a trip to Spain in 1927. Here she witnessed cranes flying into the sunset and notes that they were ‘almost as lovely as my beloved geese’.
