Our next picture for the Year of Young People is a bit of a mystery. It comes from the Willie Jenkins collection (PD166) held here at Stirling Archives. The picture of is obviously of a brass band. The problem is, we don’t know what band it is!
The images in Willie’s collection all focus on the villages and towns in St Ninians parish. Willie, however, did focus on certain areas in the parish over others so we think the band was probably based in one of the following areas:
- Bannockburn
- Cowie
- Fallin
- Plean
- Whins of Milton
- St Ninians
